He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Fortune and Phyllis Fortune (Finkbeiner); and his sister Patty Sorensen. He is survived by: his wife Joan Fortune; his children, Jason Fortune (Chris), Melisa Rogers (Rob) and Justin Fortune (Laura); his grandchildren, Blayne Fortune (Celeste), Bryce Fortune, Kelsie Gunn (Chris), Tori Becker (John) and Trenton Rogers (Paige); and his great grandchildren, Lincoln, Eli, Luna, Colson, Christopher, Cailin, Cali, Russell, Robbie and Paisley.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be considered to Swan Hospice.

“My name is Charlie Martin. My wife,[Janice] and I knew Bob from our days serving with Redeye, 2nd Armored Calvary ,Germany 1970 to 1971. I met Bob 55 years ago this month at Ft. Bliss Texas while in training with Redeye Missile Ground to Air Defense. We have been friends since then, and we have maintained contact with Bob and Joan since then. We are so sad for you guys, but Bob was a strong guy, and he knew where he was going. We will miss our talks with him and hearing him talk. Love you”
