He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Fortune and Phyllis Fortune (Finkbeiner); and his sister Patty Sorensen. He is survived by: his wife Joan Fortune; his children, Jason Fortune (Chris), Melisa Rogers (Rob) and Justin Fortune (Laura); his grandchildren, Blayne Fortune (Celeste), Bryce Fortune, Kelsie Gunn (Chris), Tori Becker (John) and Trenton Rogers (Paige); and his great grandchildren, Lincoln, Eli, Luna, Colson, Christopher, Cailin, Cali, Russell, Robbie and Paisley.

A burial will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
