He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Sowa and Stefania Sowa (Czyczk); his siblings, Andrew Sowa and Adella Baronowski; his wife Joyce Sowa; and his daughters, Karen Davis and Marie Sowa.
He is survived by: his children, Raymond Sowa, John Sowa (Jackie), Stephanie Foust (Larry) and Andrea McGlashen (Greg Nagy); his children-in-law, Michelle Sowa and Mark McGlashen; his sisters-in-law, Judy McWhirter and Jean Ann Kent; and also Patsy Owens. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church (5191 Richfield Rd, Flint, MI 48506).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Davison VFW Post #4087, in Ray's memory.
