We bid farewell to Mother Almaree Porter of Flint, Michigan, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 20, 2025 at the age of 100. Mother Almaree touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Armstrong and Ethel Mae Armstrong; her husband Lee C. Porter; her children, Samaster and Carl Porter; her grandsons, Rodrecus, Charles and Malcolm; and her siblings, Juanita, Sallie B., Arelilian, Mary Ethel, Bernice, Lester, Hugh D., Elvis, James and Roosevelt.
She is survived by: her children, Nathaniel (Dena), Aubrey (Jackie), Harvey, Sandra Kay, Mary Lewis, Luther Porter and Sister Thelma Johnson-Kellum; and her daughter-in-law Barbara Porter.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Legacy Funeral Chapel (1009 E Stewart Ave, Flint, MI 48505). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fairhaven Seven Day Adventist Church (1379 Louis Ave, Flint, MI 48505). A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:00 PM at the Gracelawn Cemetery (5710 Saginaw St, Flint, MI 48505). A reception will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Family Worship Center Church (3280 N Linden Rd, Flint, MI 48504).
