It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie Alexandra Sowa (Flint, Michigan), who passed away on September 20, 2019, at the age of 47, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Joyce A. Sowa; her sister Karen Davis; her grandfather John McWhirter; and also Michael Horton. She is survived by: her father Raymond E. Sowa; her daughter Makenzie Horton; her siblings, Raymond R. Sowa, John Sowa (Jackie), Stephanie Foust (Larry) and Andrea McGlashen (Greg Nagy); her friend Troy Arrington; and her siblings-in-law, Mark McGlashen and Michelle Sowa. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gift of Life , the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan or to the family to help with Makenzie's education.
