It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lorraine S. (Jankowski) Benjamin of Flint, Michigan, who passed away on December 3, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Richardson; her siblings, Helen Sutkowi, Delores Benjamin, Audrey Henry, Bill and Art Jankowski; and her siblings-in-law, Agnes Gall, Mary Bagley, Selby Goad, Elaine Benjamin, Steve, Dave Benjamin, Dave Abraham, John Kielian and Bob Henry.
She is survived by: her husband Peter R. "Bob" Benjamin; her children, Robert M. Benjamin (Ann Marie), Paul J. Benjamin (Catie) and Mary K. Benjamin-Swonger; her grandchildren, Thomas R. Richardson (Haley), Miranda L. Richardson, Tayler N. Richardson, Lauren M. Richardson, Rachel M. Benjamin, Tony R. Benjamin, Benjamin J. Swonger, Christian H. Swonger, Ethan S. Swonger, McKenna L. Swonger, Emily M. Mathein (Corey), Rachel D. Grant (Luke), Joeseph D. Merrick, Hannah G. Merrick and Claire C. Merrick; her great grandchildren, Levi, Tyson, Trayce, Julian and Scarlett; her siblings, Vivian Kielian and Ed Jankowski (Carole); her sisters-in-law, Carol Jankowski and Janet Jankowski; and her godchildren, Kathy Gallagher, Keith Purzycki, Michael Benjamin, Suzanne Schafer, John Jankowski, Joe Henry, Christine Drinkwine, Dan Schmier, Sandy Dingel and Chip Alexander.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Allen Funeral Home (9136 Davison Rd, Davison, MI 48423). A rosary was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (404 Dayton St, Davison, MI 48423).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church or Old Newsboys of Flint, in Lorraine's memory.
