It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Grant Coleman Jr. of Flint, Michigan, who passed away on April 17, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Coleman Sr. (Anna Mae) and Anna Mae Coleman; his children, Martina Depillars and Terrance Warren; and his brother Otis D. Sanders.
He is survived by: his children, Marcus Coleman Sr. (Tina), Debra Coleman and Markis Coleman; his grandchildren, Earl Depillars (Shakea), Dominque Depillars Fisher (Kendrick), J. Depillars, Mario Coleman, Marcus Coleman Jr., Marlon Coleman, Milas Caudle II, Markeda Depillars, Joshua Depillars, Alanna Rauls and Daesean Coleman; and his children, Michael Thompson, Darlene Holt, Dionne Warren, Cameron Warren and Erica Thompson. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Legacy Funeral Chapel (1009 E Stewart Ave, Flint, MI 48505). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at 4929 Clio Rd, Flint, MI 48504.
