He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald B. Bateman and Dorsie Bateman (Reed); and his brother Bill (Becky Bateman). He is survived by: his wife Karen Sexton; his children, Lisa Bateman, Lindi Saylor and Jennifer Oldrham (Michael); his grandchildren, Haley Saylor, Natalie Oldrham, Hunter Oldrham and Joseph Case; and his siblings, Linda Potter, Robert Bateman (Noeleta) and Mike Bateman (Noel Fletcher). He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
