She was predeceased by: her parents, Ran Biggs and Arthurine Biggs; her parents-in-law, Leslie Sr. and Elnora McCovery; and her siblings, Fannie Pugh, Barbara Ann Harris, McClinton Biggs and Thomas Shumack.
She is survived by: her husband Leslie McCovery Jr.; her children, Teresa McCovery of Flint, Debra McCovery of Flint, Cliffton Barrett of Beaumont, TX and Jesse Ketzbeau of Flint; her granddaughter Terquese "Shay" Ivory of Flint; her great grandchildren, Zyan Ivory, Gabrielle Ivory and Jameer Rozier; her siblings, Ernestine Mosley of Bourbonnais, IL, Betty "Pat" Stanton (Ernest) of Peterman, IL, Rand Biggs of Peterman, AL, Roosevelt Biggs of Grand Bay, AL, James Bigg of Peterman, AL and James Clemons Biggs of Moss Point, MS; and her siblings-in-law, Dorthy Burns (Arthur) of Flint, Ire Gillespie (Melvin) of Flint, James McCovery of Flint, Willie McCovery of Savannah, GA, Robert McCovery (Denise), David McCovery (Georgette) and Sherman McCovery of Moss Point, MS. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Viewing was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home Chapel (906 W Flint Park Blvd, Flint, MI 48505). A burial was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Sunset Hills Cemetery (4413 Flushing Rd, Flint, MI 48504). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First Trinity Missionary Baptist Church (1226 Beach St, Flint, MI 48502). The lying in state was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home (906 W Flint Park Blvd, Flint, MI 48505).
