He was predeceased by: his parents, Christine Wilson and Eddie Owens; his stepparents, Jessie Wilson Sr. and Ethel Ree Wilson; his son Earnest Brown; his siblings, Tom Owens, Melvin Owens, Sam Owens, Danny Wilson, James Howell, Douglas Wilson and Eddie Jean Bell; and his sister-in-law Cheryl Wilson.
He is survived by: his significant other Willie Mae Gregory; his stepchildren, Youvena Bowie (Ricky), Audrey Hatcher, Darcy Hatcher, Valerie Farmer, Lawrence Render and Arnell Render of Huntsville, AL; his siblings, Terrell Crayton (James), Joyce Bah (Ishmeal), Tammy Jones, Pamela Trimuel (Rucell), Cherise Wilson, Christiana (Mike), Kane, Betty Jean Williams, Jesse Wilson Jr., Claude Jones (Charlene), Granville Ray, David Wilson (Joni), Ulysses Wilson (Cindy) and Calvin (Yvonne); and his close friends, Bruce, Gay Sawyer, Daniel, Maxine Murphy, Marvin "Note" Richardson, Will "Cowboy" Spurlock and Leon "Bud" Patrick. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren.
