She was predeceased by: her husband Dennis Grooms; her parents, Otto Thompson and Ruby Thompson; her in-law Eldoss Grooms (Louella); her significant other Larry Hipkins; and her nephew David Thompson.
She is survived by: her children, Boyd Grooms (Jeana) and Chris Carey (Doug); her grandchildren, Bronte Grooms (Sky Higgins), Austen Grooms (Courtney Clark), Jackson Carey, Olivia Carey and Chase Grooms; her sister Nancy Parkin (Frank); her cousin Charlene Pemberton (Carl Cady); and her nephew Darren Thompson. She is also survived by family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sharp Funeral Homes - Miller Road Chapel (8138 Miller Rd, Swartz Creek, MI 48473). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sharp Funeral Homes- Miller Road Chapel (8138 Miller Rd, Swartz Creek, MI 48473).
