It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnn Smith (Flat Rock, Michigan), born in Barbourville, Kentucky, who passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie and Maude. She is survived by: her husband Ivan; her sons, Ivan Smith (Ginger) and Jerrold Smith (Christy); her grandchildren, Chad Smith (Alison), Joshua Smith (Christi), Chelsea Sammons (Jack) and Chandler Smith; and her great grandchildren, Isaac, Micah, Nicolas, Nolan, Isabella, Sophia, Chloe, Jackson, Paisley and Owen.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Michigan Memorial Funeral Home (30895 W Huron River Dr, Flat Rock, MI 48134). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Michigan Memorial Park (32163 Huron River Dr, Flat Rock, MI 48134).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kirby Church in Flat Rock, Michigan, in honor of JoAnn's enduring faith and community spirit.
