It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hoyte Raymond Mears of Flat Rock, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on December 4, 2022, at the age of 30, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Hoyte Duane Mears and Larry Young. He is survived by: his parents, Hoyte Mears and Juliana Mears (Chambers); his girlfriend LaShee Small; his girlfriend's sons, DeJon and Michael Small; his brothers, David McGinley and Dalton Baldridge (Kelli); his grandparents, Sharon Young, Doris Chambers and Richard Chambers; his aunts and uncles, Melanie Lear (Dennis), Esther Young (Wayne Chastin), Bill Young (Connie), Miracle Chambers and Richard Chambers; and his great-aunt Judy Graves (Tom). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, please take a loved one out for a special day and tell them how much you love them. Memorial donations may be sent to the Cardiology Department at Children's Hospital or Ronald McDonald House, in memory of Ray Mears.
