He was predeceased by: his parents, Ballard Sturgill and Gladys Sturgill; his brother-in-law Elster Tibbs; and his sister Julie Johnson. He is survived by: his daughters, Benita Kelley (Donald) and Regina Hamilton; his wife Lois Sturgill; his grandchildren, Autum Kelley, Makinsey Crawley (Josiah), Andrew Kelley and Joy Hamilton; and his siblings, Jettie Tibbs, Betsy Burnett (Larry), Rachel Hamilton (Caramel), Edna Michael, Teene Porter, Joann Marsillett (James), Kennly Sturgill, John Sturgill and Debbie Bentley (Ricky).
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Michigan Memorial Funeral Home (30895 W Huron River Dr, Flat Rock, MI 48134). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Michigan Memorial Funeral Home Chapel (30895 W Huron River Dr, Flat Rock, MI 48134).
