He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances VanHorn and Roselind VanHorn (Essex); his former wife Diana VanHorn; his granddaughter Breanna VanHorn; and his stepson Robin Decker.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth VanHorn; his children, Gerry VanHorn, Jr., Michelle Mahoney (Dan), Autumn VanHorn and Randy VanHorn (Michelle); his stepdaughter Rachel Decker; and his brothers, Roger VanHorn (Marguerite), Rex VanHorn (Bonnie) and Kirk VanHorn. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the First Congregational Church of Flat Rock.
