He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Kurtzhals and Esther Kurtzhals-Parr (Vereb); and his siblings, Fredrick Kurtzhals and Irene Starkey. He is survived by: his wife Candice Kurtzhals; his children, Ervin Kurtzhals III, David Kurtzhals (Lisa), Wendy Palin and Susan Christunas (David); his grandchildren, Scot, Lindsay, Steven and Victoria; his great grandchild Cassius; and his brothers, William Kurtzhals (Judith) and Ralph Kurtzhals. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
