He is survived by: his children, Gary Schimmel (Donna), Donald Schimmel, Jr., Karen Schimmel, James Schimmel (Carol) and Penny Schimmel; his grandchildren, Christopher Schimmel, Callie Bradbury (Nathan), Jamie Nagy (Justin), Alex Walker (Jacob), Anthony Schimmel, Cory Schimmel and Dilan Skelton; his great grandchildren, Simon Walker, Nicholas Walker, Peyton Nagy, Garrett Walker and Emma Nagy; and his sister Barbara Raney.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
