He is survived by: his children, Amor Camargo and Jasmin Ruelle (Benjamin); his grandchildren, Julia Camargo, Edward Ruelle, William Ruelle and Abel Camargo II; and his siblings, Leonel Camargo (Elba), Joel Camargo (Josefina), Rosario Camargo, Irma Camargo (Javier), Isela Camargo (Miguel), Manuela Camargo, Hector Camargo, Eliseo Camargo (Diana) and Guillermina Camargo (Isaias).
