With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Susan V. Hobson of Fife Lake, Michigan, born in Saginaw, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 28, 2024 at the age of 78. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Amman and Elizabeth Amman (Finn); her husband Gary Hobson; and her siblings, Rita Adelberg, Victor Amman and Brigid Amman.

She is survived by: her children, Timothy Shannon (Mona) of Fife Lake, Amy Burk (Mark) of Mancelona and Matthew Hobson of South Boardman; her grandchildren, Tyler Shannon (Kendra Thompson) of Saginaw, Ashley Burk (Eli Beehler) of Traverse City, Keshia Burk (Juan Orozco) of Holland, Audrey Hartzell of Mancelona, Stephan Shannon (Katelin) of Liberty, Ryan Maddox (Beth) of Traverse City and Brady Burk of Mancelona; and her siblings, Connie Frost, Monica Rehmann (Rick), Gilbert Amman (Terri), Teresa Stastny, Martin Amman (Julie), Paula Kopchitz (Rob), John Amman (Maureen), Dolores Brady (Mike) and Mike Amman.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Kalkaska Funeral Home (152 S Cedar St, Kalkaska, MI 49646). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
