He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Birgy and Helen Birgy (Carlisle); his siblings, Donna Birgy, Ruth Ann Birgy and Robert Birgy; and his brother-in-law Clarence Hahn.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Birgy; his children, Debra Lynn Rasch (David), Ronald Mark Birgy, Patrick Scott Birgy (Jennifer) and Mark Alan Birgy (Michelle); his grandchildren, Bethany Rasch Olceski (Brett), Scott Jose (Heather), Matthew Rasch, Shaun Jose (Marlena), Amanda Way, Nicole Fowler (Mike) and Daniel Birgy; and his siblings, Joyce Hahn, Virgil Birgy (Squeak) and Otto Jay Birgy (Shirley). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
