She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas E. Sherrill and Geraldine M. Mix (Smith); and her stepfather Gustav B. Mix. She is survived by: her husband Raymond L. Peka; her children, John Peka (Melissa) of Indianapolis, Brian Peka of Texas and Cynthia Brunk (Robert) of Dryden, Michigan; her grandchildren, Raymond Peka of Alexander, Kourtney Altman (Alex), Evelyn Peka and Zachery Peka; her great grandchildren, Jackson, Lily, Autumn, Aubrey, Avery and Cameron; and her siblings, Thomas E. Sherrill and Susan M. Johnson (Rodger) of Lakeville.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church (403 Merritt St, Fife Lake, MI 49633). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
