He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo and Lucinda (Martha Ann Hobson). He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, Lisa Nicholas of Clermont, Timothy Shannon (Mona) of Interlochen, Christina Hooper (Jason) of Arab, Amy Burk (Mark) of Mancelona and Matthew Hobson of South Boardman; his grandchildren, Tyler Shannon (Kendra Thompson) of Saginaw, Ashley Burk of Traverse City, Keshia Burk (Juan Orozco) of Holland, Audrey Hartzell of Mancelona, Tyler Hartzell of Mancelona, Stephan Shannon (Katelin) of Liberty, Ryan Maddox (Beth) of Traverse City, Brady Burk of Mancelona, Jayme Hosea (Terry) of Vassar, Kaetlin Hooper of Arab and Nicholas Hooper of Arab, Alabama; and his sister Karen Gall of Montrose. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
