He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl DeCan and Erma DeCan (Tork); and his siblings, Lyle, Gordon, Ken, Clyde "Chuck", Linda and Marie.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Kilbry; and his children, Sharon DeCan of Shelby, Paula Ribbick of Grand Haven, David DeCan of Ferrysburg and Gary DeCan (Barbara) of Wyoming. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
