He was predeceased by: his son Brian Edward Rouse; his parents, Edward Rouse-Mendenhall and Phylis Rouse-Mendenhall; and his siblings, MaryEllen Janssen and Fred Rouse.

He is survived by: his wife Joan M. Rouse; his children, Maureen Rouse-Ayoub (Abe), Ann Rouse-Gopigian (Armand), Dan Rouse and Kevin Rouse (Kathy); and his grandchildren, Lauren, Brian, Edward (Arianna), James, Ryan and Jes.
