He is survived by: his parent Nellie Hawkins (Kirk); his wife Barbara; his son Eric John; his siblings, Diane Spencer of Land, James Hawkins (Michele) of Lennon, Gary Hawkins (Nancy) of Saginaw and Sheryl Cumper (Dan) of Clio; his cousin Gene Kirk (Marge) of New Lothrop; his siblings-in-law, Kathy Gibbs (Randy) of Montrose, Theresa Moffitt (Larry) of Swartz Creek, Daniel Kramer (Cathy) of Birch Run, Michael Kramer of Flushing, Patrick Kramer (Vicki) of St. Charles and Lesley Bates (James) of Flushing; and his close friends, Jim, Linda Kennedy, Ben, Karina, Jen, Luke, Rob and Euchre. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
