He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Nowak and Helen Nowak (Gajewski); his parents-in-law, Walter and Lottie Piesko; and his sister Florence Sonnenberg.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Nowak; his children, Dawn Mudie (Matthew) of Wixom and Bill Nowak (Barbara) of South Lyon; his grandchildren, Ian, Colin Mudie, Sophie and Ben Nowak; his sister Pat Kubczak; and his sisters-in-law, Delores Berta and Shirley Richie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
