She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny Frank and Eleanor Butler; her children, Priscilla Bates and Clifton Bates; her siblings, Shelby Smith, Evelyn Murphy, Dorothy Stowe and Johnny Harold Butler; her granddaughter Leann Bates; and her husband Hank.
She is survived by: her son Danny Bates (Georgina) of Fenton; and her grandsons, Jeffrey Bates of Flint, Danny Bates Jr. (Suzanne) of Royal Oak, Jason Bates (Danielle) of Rochester Hills, Clifton Bates (Crystal) of Killen, AL and John Bates (Alyssa) of Rogersville, AL.. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
