He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hardie, Sr. and Elma Douglas. He is survived by: his children, Terri, Mark (Lucy), Kevin (Jennifer), Jeff (Vanessa) and Kris (Glenn). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins and numerous friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to The Parkinson's Foundation or to Boys Town, both of which, he regularly supported.
