He was predeceased by: his parents, John Stanley and Wilma Ella Zann (Kelley); and his siblings, Patricia (Aubrey Allen), Marilyn (Tom Diaz), Tom and Jim.
He is survived by: his wife MaryAnn Berndt; his children, Amy (Catherine) of Evanston, IL, John (Jen) of Ann Arbor, MI and Christian (Amy) of Denver, CO; his grandchildren, Holden, Hadley, Molly, Jackson and Lila; his sister Marge; and his sisters-in-law, Betty and Sharon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A rosary was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Homes - Fenton Chapel (1000 W Silver Lake Rd, Fenton, MI 48430). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St John the Evangelist Catholic Church (600 N Adelaide St, Fenton, MI 48430). A committal service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
