She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bill Brown and Jackie Brown; her husband Mark Szmigiel; her brothers, Bill (Lynn) of Flushing and Scot of Fenton; her nephews, Billy, Christopher and Clayton; her close friend Denise Johnson (Ron); her godchildren, Shannon Murray (Mike), Wes Johnson (Jill) and Brodie Johnson (Megan); her parents-in-law, Gene and Sylvia Szmigiel of Dearborn Heights; and her brothers-in-law, Kenneth Szmigiel of Dearborn and Steven Szmigiel.
