James E. Zayac Obituary

We bid farewell to James E. Zayac of Fenton, Michigan, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 27, 2024 at the age of 85. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Zayac and Mary Zayac (Mikus); and his sister Virginia Hillock. He is survived by: his wife Joy Maier; his children, James (Michelle Zayac), John Zayac, Jerrold Zayac and Jill Pytosh; his grandchildren, Jamie, Jessica, Sophia, Amelia, Matthew, Mark and Piper-Joy; his sisters, Delores Cox and Betty (Bill Holloway); and his sister-in-law Jan Zayac. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Swartz Funeral Home (1225 W Hill Rd, Flint, MI 48507). A rosary was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (600 N Adelaide St, Fenton, MI 48430).
