She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Thornton and Helen Thornton (Jarvis); her husband Robert James Compeau; her children, David Compeau and Tammy Pappas; and her siblings, Mary Sue Hajec, Marge Shann, Chuck Thornton, Clyde Thornton, Dave Thornton and Violet Baird.
She is survived by: her children, Anthony Compeau (Shannon) and Annette Spiece (Andrew); her son-in-law Paul Pappas; and her sister Vera Thornton. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
