It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Steven Lemke (Fenton, Michigan), born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on February 24, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Derwood Lemke and Joyce Lemke (DeWitt). He is survived by: his wife Terry Lemke; his children, Suzanne Lewis (Greg) of Peachtree City, GA, Ronald Lemke (Gemma) of Three Rivers, MI, Tyson Lemke (Charity) of Dexter, MI, Stacey Sheehan (Michael) of San Diego, CA and Courtney Gramer (Albert) of Linden; his grandchildren, Samantha, Sydney, Leah, Lexi, Kevin, Caleb, Nolan, Griffin, Jack, Owen, Evalyn, Rylan and Emmi; and his brother Larry Lemke (Cheryl) of Ohio.

“A flood of memories came back to me when I heard of Gary‘s passing. I knew him in the mid 70s. We were in the music group Mana together. I was teenager and he was in his late 20s. He always took time to talk to a punk kid (me) and give me a bit of older advice. I enjoyed watching him pursue Terry and in how he treated her gentle but manly. His style of a Christian man I tried to copy. Real, but still acknowledging the warts. The man had swagger !! My prayers go out to the family. Gus Reis”
