He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward A. Heaphy and Lauretta Heaphy (Hardy); his sister Lynn Moore; his brothers-in-law, Gordon Moore, Kenneth Keller and Glenn MacDonald; and his nephew Steven Keller.
He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Michele Heaphy, James Heaphy (Allison) and Meredith Johnston (Michael); his grandchildren, Katelyn Heaphy Zeolla (Michael), Emilee Heaphy, Vincent Heaphy, Keagan Johnston, Delaney Johnston and Kieran Johnston; his siblings, Chris Heaphy (Jan), Maureen Heaphy, Karen White, Kimberly Heaphy and Michael Heaphy (Tonya); and his friends, Robert Hauxwell (Sandy) and Jimmy Carter (Sharon).
