He was predeceased by: his parents, Berke Steele and Laura Steele (Mullins); and his wife Judith Ann Allen. He is survived by: his children, Gina Drago (Chris) of Flint, Chris Steele (Tammy) of Mt. Sterling, KY, Jason Steele (Brandy) of Fenton, Jerrimy Steele (Kristen) of Fenton and Jon Steele (Melissa) of Fenton; his grandchildren, Angelina Drago, Dominic Drago, Vincent Drago, Amanda Stacy, Trevor Stacy, Parker Judd, Chelsea Geyer and Lily Steele; his sister Zell Smith; and his close friend Ernie Hill.
Memorial service arrangements will be announced after Covid-19 gathering restrictions have been lifted.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a college fund for his grandchildren, in care of the family.
