With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ernest V. Barnes of Fenton, Michigan, born in Pontiac, Michigan, who passed away on January 9, 2023 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandson Christopher Barnes; his wife Catherine Barnes (Baker); his parents, Alta Vandervoort (Barnes) and Ernest Barnes; his siblings, W. J. "Dub" Barnes, Ina Tahash (Barnes) and Leontine VanKuren (Barnes); and his niece Janet Rowe (VanKuren).
He is survived by: his children, Penny Warner (James) of Atlanta, MI, Laney Barnes (Dianna) of Blanchard, MI, Dennis Barnes (Joy) of Bushnell, NE, Barry Barnes (Steve Burton) of Palm Springs, CA and Cynthia Jensen (Kenneth) of Bardstown, KY; his grandchildren, Dawn Warner, Jeffrey Warner, Barbara Stein, Frank Meo, James Meo, Michael Barnes, Dawn Baker, David Cooper, Victoria Foster, Kyle Jensen and Caitlin Jensen; and his niece Helen Krantz (Doug).
