With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dennis Herbert Colwell of Fenton, Michigan, born in Pontiac, Michigan, who passed away on July 20, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Leroy and Katherine Beverly Colwell (Narsh); and his brother Rodney Colwell. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lynn; his children, Ann Colwell-Johnson (Scott) of White Lake, Susan Newman (Gary) of Traverse City and Mark Colwell (Dawn) of Chagrin Falls, OH; his grandchildren, Sarah Stoller (Nathaniel), Davis Roeser (Rachel), Jacob, Katie Colwell, Shannon Olenick (Matt), Derek Newman (Mary), Nathan, Benjamin and Logan Johnson; his great grandchildren, Chase (Liz), Livia, Andrew and Aaron; his sisters, Cheryl Scribner of Metamora and Kathy Wiegand of Rochester Hills; and his sister-in-law Rae Ann Colwell of South Bend, IN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Fenton United Methodist Church Food Pantry, Compassus Hospice or the Salvation Army.
