He is survived by: his wife Bonnie; his children, Dawn Volz (Ryan), Debra Dodd-Ignash, David Lee Mathis Jr. (Valerie) and Kelly Mathis; his grandchildren, Brendan, Morgan, Madison Ignash, Danika, Malina Volz, Josie Bliss (David), Joseph Volz (Lauren), David Mathis, Kasey Mathis, Joseph Simpson and John Simpson; his siblings, Ted Mathis (Gail), Don Mathis (Colleen), Jackie Trask (Dick), Randy Mathis, Glenda Brunger (Loren) and Roger Mathis; and his siblings-in-law, Al Lifsey (Joyce) and Beverly Murphy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
