He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Broekhuis and Hazel Broekhuis; his siblings, Harloa Yonker and Lyle Broekhuis; and his parents-in-law, Barney and Gezina Zuidema.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Broekhuis; his children, Ryan Broekhuis, Maria Hernandez of Holland, Dawn Joldersma (Chad) of Jacksonville Beach, FL and Emily Petkus (Anthony) of Holland; his grandchildren, Xavier, Weston, Viviana, Sloan, Sebastian and Hazel; and his parents-in-law, Barbara Slikkers (Robert) of Holland, Larry Zuidema (Marla) of Zeeland and Marilyn Broekhuis of Overisel.
Social distancing and masking will be required at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holland Christian Schools.
