He was predeceased by: his parents, Ople Owen Carr and Opal Mae Carr (Gallaway). He is survived by: his close friend Brenda Ryzenga; his children, Katina Savage (Brian), Phill "Bubby" Carr (Miranda) and Fawn Short (Cam); his siblings, Lavetta Pike, Eva Dean Bittle, Cloeta Berry, Elfreeda Tilley, Gereta Gibbs, Harold Carr, Carlon Carr, Shirley Woolf, Karon Taylor, Judy Prestwood and Debra McCaghren; and his grandchildren, Alexis Savage, Tatum Short and Frederick Short.
