He was predeceased by: his parents, Eleanor VanSickle and Robert VanSickle; and his grandparents, Eleanor Spalding and Ira Williams. He is survived by: his significant other Lisa Putnam; his daughters, Kasie VanSicklen (Jim) and Ashley Holt (Rob); his stepsons, Perry and Ed Putnam; his grandchildren, Jamee Goheen (Jacob), Dustin VanSicklen, Dakota, Alexandria Bacon, Rose and Brooklynn Putnam; his stepmother Jeanne VanSickle; and his sisters, Sarah Athey, Toni Graham, Pam Schrank and Debbie Horgos. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
