He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Henderson and Pearl Henderson (Schnell); his stepfather Harry Kipp; and his sister Gladys. He is survived by: his wife Diana Lynn Duke; his children, Michelle Klaasen (James) of Sparta, Angela Detwiler (Adam) of DeWitt and Leo Jay Henderson (Kaci) of Lovington; his siblings, Sue, Karen, Linda, Judy, Gary and Doug; and his pets, Brutus, Buster and Boone. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, one great-granddaughter.
