He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Nelson and Mary Ashley (Sparta) of Virginia; his siblings-in-law, Linda Ashley and Ron Knapp; his aunt Ida Foor; and his uncle Jim Crawford.
He is survived by: his wife Lisa Ashley; his children, Hilary Lipsey (Trevis) and Kapri Dewees; his grandchildren, Ty, Noah, Kameryn, Kyndra, Adam, Christopher, Chase and Kensli; and his siblings, Mike Ashley (Cheryl), Jim Ashley, Terry Moyer and Luann Knapp. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held later once COVID-19 restrictions have been relaxed.
