Steve-Virginia DaCosta wrote a sympathy message

“Greg was a quiet, friendly guy; not as wild as some of us. He was a skillful aviator. I missed the opportunity to connect with him all these years later. However, my heart is open and flowing love when I think of him. Love and light, Steve DaCosta, Scalphunter15 in 1969”

Bennie See wrote a sympathy message

“I was sad to hear that Greg had passed away. I flew with Greg in B Troop 7/17 Air Cav in Vietnam. He was a good guy and well liked by everyone. Also he was very brave. He will be missed by all of us in B Troop. The photo above was taken in Pleiku, Vietnam in 1969 at Camp Enari. One of the few times we were at our base camp. Most of the time we lived in tents. Chris Oelerich wrote a sympathy message

“Ellen Jean, I was deeply saddened to hear of Greg’s passing. Greg and I served in the Army in Vietnam together. Our bond was special, he picked me and my observer up when I was shot down. Our situation was dire as larger helicopters could not access our location. Greg literally hacked his way into a bamboo thicket to get us out. Had Greg not come for us, we would not be alive today. He will be missed, Greg was one of the good guys. Chris Oelerich Scalphunter 12”
