He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Ahac and Helen Ahac (Tomaski); his daughter Kim Bauer (Barry) of Clare; his grandchildren, Laura Ahac (Jason) and Brad Bauer (Lindsey); his great grandchildren, Taylor, Melanie, Justice, Tessa, Kenzie and Maezie; his great great grandchild Madeline; his former wife Marilyn Ahac; his son Danny Joe; and his sister Rose.
Dan donated land to the Clare/Farwell American Legion so they could build their new building where it currently is. Over the years he had made a lot of donations to multiple charities far and wide.
