He was predeceased by: his parents, Matt Heinonen and Edna Heinonen (Poyhonen); his brother John Heinonen; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Heinonen, Bill Niemi and Mike Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Heinonen; his siblings, Mary Kiilunen (Pete), Ann Niemi, Judy Johnson, Nancy Tulkki (Don), Fred Heinonen (Annie), Jean Aho (Chuck) and Linda Kilpela (Joe); and his close friends, Dave and Dawn Anderson. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
