“"Marshall" was my close and dear friend for many years, but I removed from Michigan to pursue my degrees in higher education, and so we were parted. He had an inquisitive disposition and enjoyed watching and studying events around him. It was ever for him "a funny, funny world," but he always brightened it for those around him. I was very much looking forward to returning to Detroit, perhaps next summer, to attend the Uky Sunflower Festival and sharing a few ales with him. We did that often!”
