He was predeceased by: his parents, George Alstead and Betty Alstead (Kemper); his brothers, Richard (Mary) and Robert (late Roma); and his brother-in-law David Koonter (Theresa Martina).
He is survived by: his wife Deborah; his nieces and nephews, David Alstead (Margaret), Daniel Alstead (Jennifer), Jeffrey Alstead (Kristine), Adam Zimmerman (Julia), Nathan Koonter (Tiffany), Gregory Koonter (Elizabeth), Kelly Herbert (Matthew) and Allyson Peòn (Juan); and his mother-in-law Joan Koonter (late David). He is also survived by numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or the charity of one's choice.
