He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William and Marilyn; his spouse Leslie; his sons, Austin James Kappen and Erik Mathew Kappen; his brother Paul Kappen; and his brothers-in-law, Steven Sanders (Penny Young), David Sanders (Becky Kress) and Douglas Sanders (Jean). He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A public memorial service will be held at a later date due to the current restrictions of public gatherings in place due to the COVID -19 Virus.
