She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin May and Susie May; and her significant other Scott Colburn. She is survived by: her siblings, Pauline and Harold; and her children, Elizabeth, Sarah, William and Mary. She is also survived by friends became her friends, whom she treated like sons and daughters.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Hospice of Michigan (https://www.hom.org) or Nardin Park United Methodist.
