He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph VanWambeke and Eleanor VanWambeke; his wife Christine; his children, Andrew and Sarah Hecker (Josh); his brothers, James (Eileen) and Gerald (Alice); and his brother-in-law Jimmy Covalle (Sandi).
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the McCabe Funeral Home (31950 W 12 Mile Rd, Farmington Hills, MI 48334).
